Wow that is a lot of locomotives. Those probably cost 2-3 million each new. So close to half a billion dollars in that photo.

Exactly the same scene is repeated in Cumberland Maryland and Altoona Pennsylvania. The only difference is the color of the locomotives.

They cost that when new. As much as I hate to admit to myself, the 4000s' are now around 20 years old. maybe you could get $150-200k tops on the used market.
