Were the wheels changed out with replacement traction motor units or just 'idler' wheel sets so the unit can be taken to the designated CN shop to make the permanent repairs?

Since the remarks say it took 3 hours I have to assume it's the full unit. It if were just temporary it wouldn't take nearly as long.

In my experience as a Dispatcher - changing out a locked traction motor on a unit for a single idler wheel took on the order of three hours. Idler wheels are more available at outlying points than are 'ready to go' traction motor axle sets.

Thanks MMII. Come to think of it I saw a similar looking unit in a consist heading east towards Canada in the small Michigan town I live in on the Chicago-Toronto Mainline. It was kind of dark out, but I know it was rather orange colored. Not sure if it was this one, but I know that they regularly take units for repair thorough my town. I've seen my share of motive power being taken through town unpowered, or idling.
