A quibble: it's "Cora-Texas" or "Cora Texas", not "Texas Cora". Cora-Texas Mfg. Co., Inc. was incorporated in 1927, when multiple properties and operations were combined. There is also Cora Texas Manufacturing Company, L.L.C. (1996). They are both active, but I'm not clear which business(es) are under each entity. An interesting gentleman with the memorable name of Octave Gutekunst explained sugar production to me, and to be more precise about this "sugar factory", as I understand, Cora-Texas is a sugar mill, i.e., it turns sugar cane stalks into raw sugar, basically the same thing that's available in brown containers under names like "Sugar in the Raw". Most U.S. sugar is further processed after milling, in a sugar refinery, where the molasses is separated out, leaving white sugar, and then some of that has varying amounts of molasses added back in to make light brown sugar and dark brown sugar.

Thanks for the catch Dave, along with the additional information. Don't know how I messed that up after literally reading the company history off their website.
