Nice photo and good memories! Bob, we were probably rubbing elbows that day that day getting photos of the 1361 pulling into Rose Yard. Sadly, the rail yard to the right in your photo that is full of Conrail power is all gone. Recent news from officials at the Altoona Railroader's Museum said that restoration of K4s 1361 will progress forward using the existing boiler (Federal Rail Administration has approved existing boiler repair work including normal K4s operating pressure of 205 PSIG).

Thanks Jeff. Someone asked me yesterday if that yard was still there; now I know the answer. Good news about 1361's boiler- perhaps we will get to meet trackside when she's on the road again.
