Such an amazing photo, and your remarks are very interesting and informative. You sent me down the old proverbial "rabbit hole" on Google Earth with this one! Very enjoyable following the branch and scrolling between 2006 and 2009 to witness the progress of literally nothing to a railroad being there! This must have been a very expensive branch to build with all the bridges, cuts and fills. And finally, the reverse loop they built at the mine is simply brilliant, too! Thanks for sharing this Gales of November!
