There are several draw bridges in the Netherlands with a break in the catenary to allow bridge-raising. The catenary inclines upward out of the reach of the pantograph before the gap and inclines back down after. The only thing the driver has to do is cut power through the gap until line-side signs permit resuming power. Here is an old example from Bob Visser: [https://www.railpictures.net/photo/745638/].

Peter, this bridge works exactly the same way. It's one of the only, if not the only one like this in the country. Normally trains leave their pantograph(s) up but this was a test train and the crews chose to drop it.
