Do they use those side pantographs when loading and/or unloading? Thank you.

Side pantographs are used during loading certainly. There is no upper traction network in the loading area and what I've heard the locomotive is then not operated by engineer from inside the cab but from loading cockpit. So they probably use those side pantographs mainly to control locomotive from outside.
