Interesting photo, Roger. I lived by the Wabash tracks in Jacksonville, IL when the diesels came out. I thought they were neat and they definitely had a very recognizable engine sound.
This poor dirty F7 locomotive wins my prize for worst appearance even over the current NS paint scheme.
