I would say Grumman answered the mail with that order! Long Life Vehicles, indeed. Still the workhorses of the USPS fleet in many areas over 30 years later.

I put many a mile on LLV's. In the summer they would burn your feet on the floor board from setting on the top of the engine and in the winter I froze from riding around with the door slid back !
