That image has the "feel" of the good old days for reasons that I can't necessarily pinpoint. Obviously the scenery and sky are classic Wyoming, it is nice composition, and you got a bit of smoke. Plus the code line is intact, and the buildings in the distance look appropriately "old time western ramshackle". But somehow the lighting does it, perhaps the lighting is just imperfect enough to add a final touch of "reality".
