Man.. that must have been fun to watch race by so close and at track level! Nice catch, Bob! I'll bet that store had one of everything, too!

Thanks Mitch. You can probably tell from the photo that I would stand between the station and underpass shelter on the left so I could move back as soon as the train went by. We would always bump into locals who would be watching trains from the platforms- had some nice conversations with them and also with soldiers from the nearby proving grounds who would board the two Amtrak trains that stopped during the day.
