Had not thought before about how universal a part of worldwide railroading that a scene like this might be. I guess the railway business is the railway business, no matter where you are or what your track gauge and power sources are.

Every carrier ends up with dead lines. No matter how good the equipment - it's continued use wears it out beyond it's ability to be economically repaired and/or rebuilt.
