There used to be a great Italian restaurant in the old station there. Nothing better in February than eating great food, drinking wine, and watching a Rio Grande unit switch the yard in a dazzling snowstorm. I wonder if the place might still be open.

I had the same experience back in the 90s and early 00's during visits to the area. Giuseppe's was a great place to eat and enjoy the parade of Joint Line coal trains. Sadly I think it closed as a restaurant back in 2011 and continued as a banquet hall a few years after that. Passed through in October and it looked completely closed.
