Is the land form shown on the Google map natural or man made? Curious parallel ridges on either side of the Powder River - a very good photo of the engine by the way.

Joe - and to others curious about the many man-made lakes along the line- they are the result of early gold dredging between 1912 and 1934 with very large mobile dredges, one of which survives today along the line - read more here.
