Classic "J Neu, Berlin" - knew it was yours the second I saw it. Was this a charter or excursion? Photo has a great "old time" feel, though, then again, it was 41 years ago!

Thank you for your kind words. In 1977, many express trains were still being transported with steam locomotives as planned. Every day there were more than ten express trains with steam. This train, the D271 "Meridian" (Malmö- Beograd) was from Berlin to Dresden a planned achievement of the 01.20. Departure Berlin Ostbahnhof was at 7:19pm. Apparently I did something wrong, until noon today my picture is among the top four, but it doesn't appear on the front page.
