Nice shot, Alex - good to see more from the F&W, but almost equally fascinating is the preserved 1887 Southern Pacific station.

@ Mitch Goldman - Thanks for the kind words, Mitch! This railroad is such a gem hidden in he hills north of Los Angeles that I'm lucky enough to live only 30 minutes away. For many others scattered throughout Socal, I've heard of people driving up to 3 hours one-way just to have a taste of "Old California" on this shortline. This shot in particular was one I'd been planning for few weeks leading up to the actual run, and thankfully it turned out perfect. The next day the entire line was socked in with cloud cover...telling me the train gods didn't want me to get cocky with back-to-back perfect days :)
