Beautifully done Mike! I've seen plenty of pictures of this location, but I love how this angle really shows the old Milwaukee Road grade.

If you look closely, you can follow the original Montana Railroad grade curve along the rich bluff and it went under the bridge in the middle of the photo. There was a small yard and engine houses between the creek and Milwaukee grade where Montana Railroad made its connection with Northern Pacific. The Milwaukee purchased the Montana RR from Lombard to Harlowton and the line going north to Lewistown and Great Falls. This was known as the "jawbone" line. The yard at Lombard survived into the Milwaukee days when the connection to NP was vital for moving of cattle by rail. There were wood boards under the thru girder bridge protecting the catenary. Very nice shot.
