Interesting thing about Ventimiglia: the overhead supply here is 1.5 kV DC so the French dual-voltage trains (25 kV AC/1.5 kV DC) can travel as far as the station. The Italian equipment runs at half-power. The power supply on the French side of the short tunnel at the border is 25 kV.
