I have shots of it when it was still No. 3798. But I'm wondering if my memory serves me correctly I thought Trains Magazine reported this unit burned up in an electrical fire sometime in the late 1980's? Did Indiana Southern acquire it after that by chance?

Thanks Ryan. There's corroborating info about the unit on rrpicturearchives, Don's Depot, and TrainWeb dot org. No mention of a fire- it apparently lasted on CSX until 1992 after which it was rebuilt by Nat'l. Rwy. Equip. Co. and sold to Indiana Southern and renumbered as their 4041.
