Can some me please tell me exactly what I am seeing here? I am having difficulty with mating the bridge section on the barge in the water to the furthest left. When in position, does that piece by itself, close the gap I can see that is open in the remaining bridge?

This is a "swing Bridge". To open the center span will be hydraulicly lifted to clear its "channel" and pivot 90 degrees creating a path on either side of the turntable pier.
