A red marker light over the conductor's side ditch light is new to me. Never noticed that on a CN unit before. Are there many like this?

I'm going to guess that the marker is more like a permanent eot device since most of the time nowadays dpu's are the norm to have one on the back. I'm sure it's off in this picture as it is the lead locomotive.

Pete - newer CN units have those. For use when the unit is in distributed power mode at the rear of the train (red rear facing marker light).

Thanks Dave! I'm sure I would've noticed this by now if i still lived in Oshkosh, WI where I grew up near the C&NW (now CN). My best friend growing up is an engineer for CN but i'm sure he prefered working for the WC!
