Dieselization came late to NKP and the top photographers of the day all paid their respects. The magazines reflected this, driving the Nickel Plate Berkshires into true icon status. When NKP 759 came on the scene in 1968, it had a huge impact; especially with those of us in the "born a little too late" generation.
