Is there a significant difference in axle load between their SD70M-2 and GP40-2?

Depending on how much the GP 40 weighs no, there is very little difference. A typical GP 40 weighs around 277 klbs, the SD70-2 should be right around 415 give or take. Total weight is still a concern. 430 tons in a small space is a lot to ask outdated infrastructure that hasn't been updated.
