What a truly classic image, from the transitional F unit colors to the wild power consist (maybe not so wild for EL), the Erie semaphore and the crossing watchman's shanty. A real gem and thanks for sharing.

The 6561, former DL&W 656-A, was likely the last F unit in service on EL to retain the pre-merger Lackawanna's red mars light in the nose door. I photographed it in 1970 in Binghamton, with the light still in place.
