I actually prefer the LRC cars over the old stainless ones since they were "improved" with tiny inconvenient seat trays, no windowsills for leaning elbows and are still just as rough riding and worn out as ever beneath the facade. The refurbished LRC's by contrast have new, comfortable seats with big fold-down trays and ride much better. That being said, VIA's trains on the whole have reached the end of their useful careers and should be retired due to age and accessibility issues.
