I believe the date should be October, 1974 as this looks like a rainbow train. By 1984 they were running Superliners and F40's.

Supershot Greg. You really caught the flavor of the times here with all the different colours of the varnish from the various railroads before they were Amtrackted . And they were colourful , no superliners awesome.
