Great image of a pre-WWII Northern. Notice how BLW painted the wheels and rods of their photographed locomotives (and often the cab, boiler and tender) with temporary flat paint to show off the details. Then the photo editor painstakingly whited out all the bits and pieces to give a good illustration of their latest project.

Tough to admit but there are some things more important than riding a steam locomotive. He made the right choice with no reason for regret.
