I believe one of these was working in Ft. Worth and there was a lightning strike on the ground about 10 yards away and the unit caught on fire.

GP-38 - EMD I believe BNSF 4 or 5 years ago traded a whole mess of switchers to a leasing company for a smaller number of GP-38-2s. Non-turbocharged 645 in a familiar body style. The ultimate in General Purpose locomotive. I wonder if EMD had any clue it would be as popular as it is, when they put it in the catalog.
