One has to wonder about WHERE this contaminated soil is being TAKEN TO. If it is being taken from here it HAS to be being deposited somewhere else. So, whats the use ?

Well since the casino is being built there it has to go. The cut of cars goes to Lowell and then goes out West on another train. I would imagine they have a landfill somewhere for this or some sort of decontamination process.

Contaminated may be a polite way of putting that soil condition. This site is the back of the old Monsanto Chemical Plant, the northern end of the MBTA Everett shops, and the grave yard of the old elevated Orange line. 29 cars and 4 Loco's was needed for all the heavy metals and such. My old stomping grounds how I miss them.
