After the long climb up Highway 72 out of Coal Creek Canyon and then finally dropping in at Pinecliffe, the drive from Pinecliffe through Rollinsville and Tolland to the tunnel seems relatively flat. A 2200 ft change between Pinecliffe and the tunnel must be one of the most gradual elevation changes in the world!
