Wish you had gotten a side view and been able to describe why this an experimental paint scheme.
From what I can tell, it sure looks like what they are using. Help!

The BNSF 9647 SD70MAC is the only experimental paint scheme unit that is on the system. The BNSF painted this unit because they thought this was going to be their new paint scheme. Appearently, they did not like it and the eventually went with the Heritage I and the H2 schemes. If you search for BNSF 9647, you will find that this is a one of a kind and is a rare catch with the camera. I believe that there are a few pictures on railpictures of this unit.
