Believe it or not, they're not used for much. Bout once a month, give or take, they'll pull a load of fuel tankers in for the base's use, or every so often it's a string of DoD cars.

Both the Dash 8 and GP60 were add-ons to other railroad's orders and thus built to those specs. I cannot remember which orders, though.
