Things have changed, and the days of this are gone, but I had official work to do at a UP facility a little over ten years ago. I just drove in like I owned the place and went where I darn well wanted to. Checked on the one little spot I was there to check on, and about 15 things that had nothing to do with my visit. Not only does a hardhat help, but a white pickup was a good asset. I'm sure that now there are gates and access codes and badges and escorts and so on and so on...
