Very interesting. I didn't know there were "torpedo boat" GP9s with steam generators and dynamic brakes. With all the Fs they owned I am surprised they used the on the flagship train. Thanks for posting.

Sid, yep, just like the SP. I remember seeing a torpedo boat on a short SP passenger train in CA pre-Amtrak.

The SPs didn't have the dynamic brakes. I just notice the rectangular steam generator stacks on these CPs, also unusual.
