I can never see a GG-1 without thinking about Bobby Kennedy's funeral train all of that was going on right at the beginning of my summer vacation that year, they look better in PRR livery.

Lancaster- I remember that day too. We watched the train's journey on live TV news reports. It was a very hot day for early June, as I recall. There's a very good book on the subject by Paul Fusco, a Magnum photographer. He was on the train and shot slides from a Dutch door.
