Just to add to the history of Field, it was not planned to have a town here but because of the "Big Hill" with its 4% grade (until CP build the Upper and Lower Spiral Tunnels and reduced the grade to 2%) CP had to have helper engines stationed here. Field never really grew but has basically been a rail town located in Canada's Yoho National Park.
