What's with the huge crowd of people in the background, trespassing all over the tracks? I doubt they all came out to watch the turbo train...

All those people? Yes, they came out to see the TurboTrain! It was a huge draw, as Amtrak did a good job promoting it.

That Ferrari waiting at the grade crossing would probably now sell for more than the UA Turbo cost to build. It's a shame the Turbos didn't work out, as they WERE fun to ride, at least for a relatively short distance.
