Interesting new locomotive. I will guess that the "125" part of its model number is due to its top speed of 125mph. That would make it a contender on the Northeast Corridor or other, developing high-speed corridors. Cool!!!!!

Those extra flat cars look more like they are some sort of 'adapter' car, draw or brake coupling, surely there will be little extra brake force added by two low weight empty) flat cars, and why marshal them in front of and behind the locomotive in question - nor would such a short train need such extra brake force I suspect!

Not sure how or why they would need extra axles for braking. It's basically a power move, unless the F125 is cut out and "boxcar'd" which in that case the empty flat's are probably there to lower the tons per operative brake so the train isn't restricted. Then again they are probably just a buffer.
