I would like to see this sometime. But think about it there was no TV in Lincoln's day so they shipped his body around on that macabre train and put his casket on display in several cities, there was never really anything like it before. Also at the same time John Wilkes Booth was being hunted down. And we had never had a President assassinated before.

If you get a chance to visit the replica Lincoln Funeral Car, it's worth it (and it's worth the wait in line too). Mr. Kloke did a remarkable job recreating this historical railroad car both inside and outside. Some highlights are: Mr. Kloke has a photo displayed inside the rail car of himself with a descendent of the man who built the original Lincoln rail car and the metal castings on the replica coffin were made from the original castings. There are plenty more highlights to mention here.

I'd love to see that car some day. Thank you to Dave Kloke and all of those that felt the importance and significance of this car to have another built in our time. The little locomotive down the line looks like a homemade EMD Model 40.
