Outta the mystic and rolling your way, Saint Francis in the USA. Great shot Greg. Weren't you worried about the Wolfman ? Shhhhh , I think I heard something......... look ........over there did you see that, I'm getting back in the car. I can relate. One time I was riding a side door pullman in WY. Shoshoni to be exact and the train stopped by this river on the edge of town and the moon was out a few clouds drifting over the moon and this business that was on the side of the hill made this eerie sound every 15 seconds and all these dead trees by the riverside and I was taking a little stroll and I had a stick in my hand waiting for the Wolfman or whatever came my way.I was never so creeped out in my whole life. I was so happy when I heard that toot toot and that train started rolling ......the faster the better outta here. Thanks Greg .

Wow, what memories flooded back! I rode in eng 950 on a dispatcher road trip on June 10, 1980. We got on train #161 at Manly, IA (using former R.I. crew change location for a short while) and rode to Des Moines down the spine line. I always wondered if I would ever see the 950 pop up somewhere in a photo.

Thanks Larry. This one was taken only a few blocks from where I grew up. You could hear the train long before you could see it!

When I was a kid we even got to go into the tower right near there.
