Thanks again for the memories. I had the privilege to ride one of the 1218 excursions from Bellevue to the Ohio State Fair in August 1988. Since the terrain was flat, the trip hardly taxed the big engine. And since you mentioned the PRR, it sure would have been nice if the PRR saved at least one J1. Imagine seeing a PRR J1 storming through here!

Thanks Jeff. It's too bad that none of the J1s were saved. I saw the T&P 2-10-4 No. 610 running in 1978; the Texas-types were impressive engines.
