Nice shot! Brings back memories. We were able to see this train as it passed through Doswell and then chase it to Ashland and Richmond. The next week during the Convention, I worked as a Car Host on the 611 trip on the C&O Richmond to Balcony Falls and return trip.

Definitely an odd couple. I wish I would have made more of an effort to see the smaller engines that the Southern was using back then on their steam excursions. Great shot of a light Pacific and Superpower steam doubleheading.
