I always enjoy your photographs, Greg. They amply demonstrate the grittiness of NYC railroading. I know this area of the South Bronx. It is definitely unique.

Nice photo, Greg. Pictures like this make me want to visit New York City and just meander through neighborhoods like this. Must be interesting. (I've always liked looking at "stuff" in scrap yards.)

A rare remnant of urban railroading that once was common in most US big cities. San Francisco, for example, had tracks in numerous streets and back alleys, even dual gauge. Thank you for capturing this flavor of railroad history in the Bronx.
