What a difference!

Quite the contrast! Nicely set up diesplay - reminds me a bit of the display at the Henry Ford Museum in Michicgain, USA, though neither were replicas and both were steam - seen here.

Here's a note of interest regarding the "Alder" which (the replica) was actually built in 1935:

The Alder is a 1935 built working replica, a locomotive from the first German railway between Nuremberg and Fürth. It was badly damaged by the blaze at the roundhouse of the museum in October of 2005. Apprentices and experienced specialists rebuilt the engine in the Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works. After two years of reconstruction the Adler was once again ready for operations in October 2007 and returned to the Nurember Transport Museum on 23 November 2007. The restored Adler ran once again on April 26th, 2008. A further, non-operational, 1953 replica is displayed in the museum.
