Stellar.

Other than the mountain vista, the frosted trees and the icy river, this scene is very reminiscent of my hometown in Philadelphia, PA. Careful Chris, this kind of railfan photography can become quite an addiction! Great to see you posting again. Beautiful shot!

Great shot Chris! You had great timing in terms of conditions. A lot of the flocking disappeared by the 5th when we did a similar shot. The atmosphere was still pretty good, but this image really nails it.

The landscapes BNSF pass through, especially in MT are just the kind of settings that makes one set in search of solitude. The 3 states - Past (when you recount the moments you had been waiting for the train to show up), Present (as the train pass by) and Future (the silence that grows after passage of train) are momentous. Watching this picture is pure bliss, Chris.
