Nice location John! There are a lot of little details that make this shot good...the trees, the impressive plume of smoke, the spare rails in the foreground, the vehicle/man gate just visible to the left of the locomotive, the semaphore signal, the variety of colors, and the engineman standing in the cab.

Again if we were not told the year it would be hard to know if we are looking at a 'heritage' era image or one from the 1950s. I have no idea what if any assistance John has from the heritage railways or if these are just 'snapped on the run', what ever the results are great.
