I can remember traveling thru McCook by piggybacker and stopping in for a candy bar and a cup of coffee and the cuppa coffee was 5 cents outta the vending machine............and it was a full cup. These days you put in a buck and get a large cup an half full. We dont want you to burn your hand. Well that's why you buy coffee be-cause on a chilly day or night an esp morning that hot joe wakes you up warms your hands and soul. The people I met at the old brick train station were so friendly and cool. Some train crews were so cool that I really wanted to work for the Burlington Northern Railroad .What a great Railroad it was an some mighty fine railroaders. SD-40-2 s , what a great locomotive. That stations good for a 100 more yrs.
