Have to wonder WHY they placed that dead-in-transit locomotive ( kinda looks like an RS Alco) one car back, rather than right behind the operating power.

I took some additional shots and just dug them out of my Bell & Howell cubes- the first unit dead-in-tow was an ex-LV RS-2, No. 5201. The 2nd unit was PC No. 7645, an RS-11; ex-PRR 8645. The 7645 was converted to an MT-4 slug, No. 1019, in August of 1979. The 1019 was retired in October, 1995.
