How close is the ferrovia Norte-Sul to being linked at Estrela d'Oueste, SP, Cristiano? Great to see Brazil opening up with a true cross-country railway.

Kurt, the part from Anápolis to Estrela D'Oeste is under construction and final technical studies.

Kurt, to complement comment above; ACTUAL SITUATION; - This section (Ouro verde de Goiás to Estrela D'Oeste) presented a physical progress of the works 88.9%, comprising the earthmoving services with 96.0%, with 88.2% drainage, superstructure with 84.8% and special works of art like bridges and tunnels with 78.2%. The section is 100% released to work. - 100% of the tracks were delivered, corresponding to 86877 tonnes in the port of Santos / SP. - There was an advance in the extension of mounted grid, with a total of 335 km executed of 682 Km planned. - The forecast for conclusion of work on the South Extension is December 2016.
