It had to be done! And it had to be quickly! Great shot - very nicely set up a and lit. Now... you gotta go back and do a 5 second exposure to blur the falls! Appreciate the history on the bridge - shame the state did not elect to keep the bridge. Then again, we'd be left with two bridges superimposed on each other. In the days of the Erie railroad, the train would stop ON the bridge and let passengers out to see the view. The bridge above took 84 days to build - compare that to the 27 months to build the new steel arch bridge.

Drone shots here could be really spectacular (hint-hint-hint) if the park will allow it. This is the first mention I've seen that the new bridge will be an arch. Sounds like good photos will still be possible here.

What a great photo! I grew up in Rochester and visited Letchworth often and always was hoping I'd see a train on that bridge. Thanks for sharing this photo!

Awesome shot! You set up the lighting well. The entire scene puts the train into perspective.
